:Edi Strosar has reported some vulnerabilities in DVD Rental System, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks and by malicious users to conduct cross-site request forgery attacks.1) Input passed to unspecified parameters in unknown scripts is not properly sanitised before it is returned to the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user’s browser session in context of an affected site.2) The application allows users to perform certain actions via HTTP requests to index.php without performing any validity checks to verify the request. This can be exploited to modify user data or cancel subscriptions. The vulnerabilities are reported in version 5.1. Prior versions may also be affected.Solution:Reportedly fixed by the vendor. Contact the vendor for more information.Provided and/or discovered by:Edi StrosarOriginal Advisory:http://lists.grok.org.uk/pipermail/full-disclosure/2007-August/065036.html
